Meanwhile, in New York City there are reports of strange creatures attacking anything that moves. This creature, itself, is larger than life and seeks out the sea. The oil rig worker must have what he calls "The Memory" or else he will not be able to stop this creature before it destroys everything. For anyone who loves the original, there are some nice visual touches that are unique to this film. One of them is the fact that Kong looks like a combination of both Godzilla and King Kong - but since King Kong was bigger than Godzilla at the time, that's how they decided to go with it - making Kong look even more imposing that it should be. It's almost as if this film was created for fans of the original, which makes it all the more intriguing. The most humorous remake is most assuredly "King Kong Lives". Sure, this movie might have some similarities to the original - but it still manages to find its own identity in theaters everywhere regardless of whether you've seen the original films or not. This is a fun and entertaining flick filled with great actors and actresses including Peter Riegert, Michael Winslow, Tara Reid, Jason Behr, Richard Grieco, David Hedison, Jon Lovitz and "Chachi" Ricardo Montalban. For those of you who are not familiar with the characters in the film, this is a good reason to rent it out. A mad scientist out to prove that "Woman is God" secretly implants a special electrical device in King Kong's heart. The evil genius believes that once Kong is electrocuted, he will die for good.
